A Cost-Effective and Water Tight Commercial Roofing Material
Thermoplastic polyolefin, or TPO roofing as it’s more commonly known, is a single-ply roof membrane made of rubber and synthetics. TPO roofing installations have become one of the most popular flat roof system solutions at Elevated Contracting. That’s because they’re cost-effective and provide buildings in northern Virginia protection against all types of weather. For even greater value and peace of mind, we back all our TPO installations with a 10-year workmanship warranty and lifetime manufacturer’s warranties.
The Elevated team has the training and hands-on experience required to install TPO roofing material properly. TPO membranes are either mechanically attached or fully adhered when installed on commercial roofs. The TPO roofing membrane is glued to the substrate with an adhesive that creates a strong bond with the material when fully adhered. When performing mechanically attached TPO roofing installations, we use specialized fasteners to secure the membrane to the substrate. The membrane seams are heat welded together during installation to form a water-tight seal that prevents moisture damage.
What is the Life Expectancy of TPO?
15 to 20 years
Is TPO roofing UV-Resistant?
Yes
Can you walk on TPO roofs?
TPO is not designed for heavy foot traffic.
Are TPO Costs Lower than other materials?
TPO is comparable to other single-ply materials like EPDM on a per square foot basis.

With so many types of roofing systems to choose from, it’s not easy to know which is best for your northern Virginia business. TPO roofing installations are a popular solution for commercial roofs because they’re quick and easy. They’re also cost-effective, since there’s minimal project time and labor required to install them.
TPO roofing also helps drive down your energy costs. As an Energy Star rated material, TPO reflects harmful UV rays away from your building. This eases the burden on your HVAC equipment and makes maintaining stable internal temperatures less complicated.
Because TPO is flexible, durable, and puncture-resistant, it allows the roofing membrane to shift with your building and expand and contract as temperatures fluctuate. The flexibility and lightweight properties of TPO also enable it to withstand inclement weather, making it less susceptible to storm damage.
Elevated’s preventative maintenance helps ensure your roof keeps your building dry and reaches its full life expectancy.
